Wolfestone is delighted to announce that we have won a prestigious award at the Best Employers in Localization Awards (BELA) 2018 in the category of Best for Training and Personal Development for companies under $10mil turnover.

It’s the second year running that Wolfestone has celebrated success at the BELA Awards, having achieved Best Language Service Provider for Career Progression in 2017.

Now in its second year, the BELA awards aim to recognise those organisations who are actively committed to supporting their staff’s progression and encouraging them to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

The awards are about celebrating those who are making the Language Service Industry an innovative, inspiring, and exciting place to work.

Reflecting upon winning the BELA award, Alex Parr, Managing Director of Wolfestone, said:
“To win the BELA Award for Training and Personal Development is a great honour for us. We have always made it a priority to create an environment in which people can learn and develop their skills, as well as enjoy the work they do .”

She added:
“Getting acknowledgement from awards like BELA for the efforts we are putting in helps to emphasise what a great job our employees have done in creating such a nurturing and wonderful environment.”

Adaptive Business Group, the organisers behind the BELA awards, launched the brand-new category of Training and Personal Development just this year.

They said of the award:
“In such a complex, unique market, those joining LSPs need to be aware of the competition, the industry and the ever-changing scope. With that in mind, the winner of this BELA has a fantastic training strategy in place, emphasising recognising and developing their employees’ strengths and focusing on areas which could perhaps have room for improvement.”

Diverse employment opportunities

Employment opportunities at Wolfestone remain diverse and challenging – translation and reviewing, project management, sales, marketing, accounting, to name but a few.

Alex herself is a great example, as she began her career with the company as team leader for the sales department. Her talent and business acumen were quickly recognised by the company directors and it wouldn’t be long before the decision was made to place her on a Fast Track to Director programme.

Following extensive training, she was promoted to the position of Managing Director for Wolfestone in October 2015 to notable success. She was even recently named the winner of the Leadership in the Private Sector award at the Leading Wales Awards 2018.

Anna Bastek, co-Founder and Director, said:
“We believe in putting the best people in roles that not only best suit their skill set, but in roles that they want to do, and we’re not afraid to trial employees in roles they may not have previously considered.”
